TORONTO BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHER | I WAS SEEING MYSELF THROUGH SOMEONE ELSES LENS

WHY DID YOU WANT TO DO A BOUDOIR SHOOT?
I wanted to do a boudoir shoot completely for myself. I have always struggled with body image and self confidence in regards to my weight, so for the past 2-3 years I have been working on my mental and physical health and personal view and opinion of myself.
Now, I can confidently say that I am the most confident in myself that I have ever been, even though, coincidentally, I am also only about 10lbs lighter from the heaviest I have ever been.
I have learned to love myself and my body, no matter what, even though I have still not reached my end goal. I wanted to celebrate myself, my body, and feel beautiful and sexy inside and out.
HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE DURING YOUR SESSION?
My boudoir session honestly could not have been better. Upon arrival I had my hair and makeup done by Cassandra who was amazing and made me look exactly how I had hoped to.
Once all of the outfit selecting and preparing was done it was time to shoot! I am pretty comfortable with nudity since I work in the aesthetics industry so I wasn’t worried about that, but Sam made it that much more comfortable to be half naked in an open room.
I wasn’t sure about the posing but Sam also provided SO much guidance and even showed me herself how to do the poses. It felt so liberating and I had a lot of fun doing it.
HOW DID YOU FEEL WHEN YOU SAW YOUR IMAGES FOR THE FIRST TIME?
I was so so so excited and happy and blown away by the images that I almost cried (LOL).
I was even more excited when I asked about Sam’s editing stye and she said when it comes to body proportions, she doesn’t change the shape, so the photos I was looking at, was really me and my body.
I was seeing myself through someone else lens, and I am stunning and sexy and beautiful, and these photos really made me feel that way.
WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THIS EXPERIENCE TO OTHER WOMEN?
I would one million percent recommend this experience and specifically Samantha Kay Studios for this experience. This is one of the best gifts I have ever given myself.
